Kai Leong, who just graduated from Killarney Secondary School, has developed an app that measures and analyzes a person's gait — the way they move while walking. B.C.’s technology sector is a fast growing part of the province’s economy. Along with the growth in the number of jobs, average wages in this sector are approximately 75% higher than the B.C. industrial average. Business activities in the technology sector are wide in scope. They include interactive and digital media, information and communications, engineering services, clean technology and life sciences, among many others.
